In the context of the fifth round of negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), FPC conducted the U.S. portion of a reporting tour for 12 European journalists from February 29 to March 5, 2016. The group started in Brussels, Belgium, where they observed the fifth round of TTIP negotiations, then traveled to Washington for two days of policy discussions with U.S. officials, as well as site visits to a farm and a restaurant, where the quality of U.S. products was showcased. The tour continued to New Orleans, where the group discussed items related to trade such as ports, international tourism destinations, and a seafood processing plant.
