The New York Foreign Press Center organized a reporting tour to provide participating foreign media with a deep dive view into solution-driven approaches to addressing Ebola and second-order impacts of the outbreak, including the economic, social, and political tolls in the region.  The tour included a November 19 three-part briefing series hosted at the NYFPC with USAID Assistant Administrator Ariel Pablos-Mendez; Save the Children; and Imani House, a New York-based community and Liberian Diaspora organization.  On November 20, the tour moved to Atlanta where the group -- representing outlets from Japan, Russia, and Spain -- visited the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Emergency Operations Center – the planning and coordination epicenter for what is now CDC’s largest response to an international outbreak in its history.  They also met with officials from the Georgia State Public Health Department and spoke at length with Emory University’s Dr. Bruce Ribner.
