Farm to Kitchen: DC's Sustainable Food Scene

On July 21, 10 foreign journalists had the opportunity to see DC’s commitment to sustainable food practices in action.   The tour showcased both environmental and economic sustainability models in DC's food industry.  At the University of DC’s Muirkirk Farms, journalists received a guided tour of Muirkirk’s state-of-the-art urban agriculture research farm, and heard from expert agronomists about green jobs development Date: 07/21/2014 Location: Washington, DC Description: Foreign media learn about DC's commitment to sustainable food practices in action.
