Twenty-four journalists from around the globe participated in a Washington Foreign Press Center tour to the Federal Reserve Board.  The program included briefings by Federal Reserve staff and an economist who provided an introduction to the Federal Reserve System in the U.S. The journalists learned about the structure of the Bank and  the Federal Open Market Committee; were introduced to the Board's website, with emphasis on resources that economic and business reporters may find useful; and heard about recent monetary policy from a Special Adviser to the Board.
