The NYFPC arranged a visit to NYU’s innovative environmental science course “Where the City Meets the Sea: Studies in Coastal Urban Environments” which connects students in classrooms across seven of the university’s global sites. Peter Schilling, NYU Associate Vice President of Global Technology Services and Mary Killilea, Assistant Professor of Biology, explained how virtual classroom techniques are used to visualize environmental data and demonstrated a live connection to a NYU classroom in London.
