The New York Foreign Press Center initiated a month-long program series on U.S. higher education with a briefing at the Institute of International Education (IIE) by experts Peggy Blumethal, IIE Senior Counselor, and Rajika Bhandari, Deputy Vice President of Research and Evaluation.  Drawing on IIE's 2013 Open Doors report, Blumenthal and Bhandari discussed global student mobility patterns, providing context and country-specific information while advocating the importance of international education as an economic and geopolitical imperative.
