Journalists toured the Build It Green!NYC Brooklyn Reuse Center, New York’s only non-profit retail outlet for salvaged and surplus material. Founder Justin Green briefed journalists on the mission and operations of BIG!NYC, which diverts tons of construction and demolition waste from landfills for reuse in homes, restaurants, and film sets. The tour is part of the New York Foreign Press Center’s reporting series on Urban Sustainability Initiatives.
