The New York Foreign Press Center partnered with Citi Bike to brief foreign media on New York City's new bike share program. Cit Bike representatives discussed how the program works and its impact on the city including decreasing vehicular traffic, promoting health and wellness, strengthening local business, and enhancing local economies of the neighborhoods served. Also, journalists interviewed program members about their experiences using the bikes. The program is expected to generate $36 million in economic activity and create 170 new jobs.
