Journalists from across Europe, Asia, and Latin America participated in the FPC's craft beer reporting tour. Media visited Premium Distributors to learn about the U.S.' unique beer distribution system. Next, the media toured 3 Stars Brewing, where they interviewed the founders and sampled their latest brews. DeFazio (D-OR), the co-Chairman of the House Small Brewers Caucus also spoke to the group about the Caucus' efforts to limit taxes on beer. Media also interviewed lobbyists from the Brewers Association; the Boulder, CO based trade association that represents craft and microbreweries and promotes U.S. craft beer sales overseas. The tour concluded with a beer tasting at the Bier Baron. The Bier Baron was the nation's first bar to serve craft beers in 1957, and has been a Washington landmark ever since.
