The Smithsonian's National Museum of African-American History and Culture is under construction and is scheduled to open in 2015. Some of the museum’s artifacts are already on display in an exhibition at the National Museum of American History. Fifteen journalists from Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom toured the exhibition and received briefings from the Museum’s founding director Lonnie Bunch, the Associate Director of Curatorial Affairs Dr. Rex Ellis and the Associate Director of Community and Constituent Services Dr. Deborah Mack.
